In this course you will find out about how banking works for those who are facing financial difficulties.
You’ll explore the features of basic bank accounts, the ‘right of set off’, bank charges and advising on incidents of fraud.
Credit Referencing: The Essentials! (NI)
Learn what a credit reference file is and the information it contains. Find out how to advise clients who have been victims of credit fraud, have been turned down for credit or wish to improve their credit rating.
Standard Financial Statement (SFS) (NI)
This course introduces you to the Standard Financial Statement (SFS) and how to use it with your clients when giving them debt advice. It is suitable for advisers of all levels of experience and takes less than an hour to complete.
The SFS is the industry standard financial statement for assessing a client’s ability to afford debt repayments when they are in financial difficulties.
Consumer Credit Act (CCA) (NI)
This course will give you an understanding of the Consumer Credit Act (CCA), from checking the agreement to hire purchase and bills of sale. You will also gain an understanding of the unfair relationships provisions, some of the legal protection the consumer and time orders provisions for debt.
